How to use FIMO Casting Powder

  1. Weigh 3 parts powder. Measure by weight in a clean, dry mixing cup.
  2. Add 1 part water. The official mixing ratio is 3 parts FIMO Casting Powder to 1 part water.
  3. Mix for about 1 minute. Stir until the mixture is smooth and even.
  4. Pour carefully into the mould. Allow the mixture to flow into the details.
  5. Demould after about 30 minutes. Handle carefully, as the piece has not yet fully cured.
  6. Leave to cure for 24 hours. According to the supplier information, the creation is then fully hardened.

The amount required depends on the volume of your mould. Start with a small test batch and keep the 3:1 ratio exact.

  • Place the mould on a flat, stable surface before pouring.
  • Weigh powder and water accurately; do not alter the ratio by eye.
